Insurance

Insurance for the rider only, which concerns the races and unsupervised training (without race):

Lately, there have been a lot of modifications in the insurance contracts generally. In our experience, many of our clients are unaware that normal accident insurance (SUVA) only pays 50% of the 80% loss of earnings at the time of unsupervised training on circuit, because motorbike sport on circuit is now considered as a « reckless risk » like paragliding, canyonning, etc. Medical expenses are, however, covered at 100%.

Find out from your employer if your company has complementary « reckless risk » insurance for their employees (not to be confused with serious offence !).

The "Fun Sport" licence exists !

Licence for just one event

Concerning our " 500 miles" endurance race at Magny-Cours:

Our event is « official » and recognized by the FMS and the FFM (+ included in the European calendar), but outside the championship. Each participant should have a licence. As in previous years, two classes will be established.
- The participant without a national FMS licence can establish a FUN Sport licence or a « one event » licence for FMS members at CHF 60 / EUR 40 and non-members CHF 80 / EUR 55 per rider.
- French participants who already have an NCA or NCB licence are covered. Other European participants should have a national licence with authorisation to ride in foreign countries.

Details for this come with the rules.

For EVERYONE’s safety, please note: when participating in other non-official races, those not recognised by a federation (FMS, FFM, etc.), your licences are not taken into account. You are not covered under any circumstances and you ride at your own risk!
