Alcarràs (E) - 12 and 13 March 2009

The spanish week...

This track was inaugurated in 2007 but it has been operational only since last year. It’s situated at 170 km from Barcelona, next to Lleida, on the flank of a small hill where it exploits 9% of the declivity. It has a length of 3.743 m and its particularity is that it turns counterclockwise. The large track of 15 m incorporates 14 turns of which 10 to the left as well as a straight line of 800 meters.

Some parts of the infrastructure are still under construction, but there’s already a modern medical center, a nice cafeteria and large boxes all equipped with showers and toilets. The Alcarras track already hosted several races of the Spanish Championship, both speed and endurance, and given the quality and the design of the track, it will undoubtedly very quickly become a must on every track rider’s agenda.

This year, the concept of the Spanish Week is once again very clear - we wish to offer you the best environment to carry out pre-season tests. That’s why we’ve chosen the “open track” timetable which offers you a maximum track time to put the finishing touches to your settings and to discover your new motorbike.

To balance the differences of level met in 2008, we’ve created a group only for the “Racers”. “Fast” and “Very fast” pilots (who have no race licence) will be split up in a second group.

“Newcomer” and “Novice” pilots are not allowed to take part in the Spanish week for safety reasons .
